Background Information about the Cottage

Originally a terrace of 4 farm cottages, built approximately 100 years ago, they were later converted to two separate large semi-detached cottages. Brick-built extensions were then added to both properties providing bathroom and kitchen facilities. The two cottages are now numbered 3-4 and 5-6 Geanies Farm Cottages and together stand alone and isolated from any other properties enjoying an extremely quiet location. Our cottage is number 5-6.

The adjoining cottage at number 3-4 is occasionally used by the owners as a holiday home. The nearest other properties (numbers 1 and 2 Geanies Farm Cottages) are about 200 meters to the West. Beyond that to the South it’s about half a mile to the next property and about 1 mile to the nearest northerly property. To the East there is farmland and a track which leads past a picturesque pond to the beach and sea (about 1.5 miles away).
